Summer 2009
This summer I'm going to be studying French and traveling around Europe. I thought it would be nice to keep a blog so I can upload pictures and share anecdotes. My plans for after Summer Session are still a little hazy, but I have made a few concrete decisions. I know I'm going to go back to Aalborg to visit my host families. I also know I'm going to visit Tourouvre, which is the city where my family lived before we immigrated to Quebec. I'm still not sure how much time I'm going to spend there. I'm buying a 15 day EuroRail pass, so I might want to take advantage of the free train tickets to do some different traveling. I really haven't though a lot about where else I'm going to travel, although Switzerland and Prague are at the top of my list. My current timeline is:
May 30th-July 3rd: FREN130, New Haven
July 4th-August 1st: FREN140, Paris
August 2nd-August 8th: Tourouvre, France
August 9th-August 13th: traveling in Europe
August 14th-August 19th: Aalborg, Denmark
August 20th: travel home :) Aalborg->Paris->New York->Detroit, and that's not including connection flights. Ugh, that will not be fun, but I'll be home just in time for Girls' weekend!
August 30th ish: back to Yale
So that's the plan so far. I'll keep the schedule updated and hopefully be posting photos, although I'll be at the mercy of internet cafes, since I don't plan on bringing my laptop. Yay for summer!
Now back to studying for finals :(
